The transfer distance of USB cable / HDMI cable / VGA cable and Ethernet LAN cable
USB (Universal Serial Bus) is an external BUS standard, which is used to regulate the connection and communication between computers and external devices. It is an interface technology applied in PC field. The USB interface supports the plug and play and hot plug functions of the device.
The effective distance specified in the USB protocol is 5 meters. USB extension cable can be used, and the quality of the cable is required to be better. The transmission distance of inferior cable is less than 5 meters.
HDMI is a high-definition multimedia interface, which is generally used on high-definition displays. It can be connected to HDMI monitors to transmit audio and video signals.
Generally, the HDMI cable with max 30 meters signal transmission, the distance for wire with average quality is about 15 meters.
But we can use HDMI conversion extender to extend the transfer distance to 120 meters.
The VGA cable transmits analog signals. It is a data transmission connector between computer graphics card and the monitor or TV. It is responsible for outputting the image signal to the display device as a bridge. Its transfer distance is 20 to 40 meters
Also you can use the Type-C to VGA HDMI Hub Adapter to extend the distance.
When the Ethernet LAN cable transmits signals, if it exceeds the distance limit, the signals will be attenuated or even interrupted. There are different transmission distances according to the specifications of Ethernet LAN cables.
CAT5 & CAT6 & CAT7 : 100 meters
CAT8 : 30 meters (Short distance but with higher transfer speed)
